Coalface is one of our facial cleansing bars which lathers a little bit and gives your skin a tighter feeling when you wash with it. It bears a passing resemblance to a bar of black soap, but it's mostly made of soothing, detoxifying liquorice root decoction with fragrant rosewood and sandalwood oils to soften and calm the skin. (Body soap is too strong to use on your face.Charcoal, incidentally, absorbs excess oil from the skin's surface and serves as an exfoliator. Mo madea limited edition of this one for a film company when they relaunched the Woody Allen film, Annie Hall, because Annie used to wash her face with black soap for her complexion ; we liked it so much we decided to let everyone use it.
